Lucknow Metro issues advisory regarding recruitment fraud

LUCKNOW: Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation (LMRC) has issued an advisory for job aspirants cautioning them about a few unscrupulous individuals and fraudulent agencies looking to cheat them on the pretext of providing them employment.
The advisory said such elements are luring the youth and misleading the public by promising them jobs at LMRC. The corporation is currently on a recruitment spree for its soon to be commissioned 23km long North-South corridor from Chaudhary Charan Singh Airport to Munshipulia.

Officials said that of late, many complaints poured in about fraudulent agencies cheating people of their money in the name of getting a job in Metro.

An official said, “The fraudulent people are either fictitiously claiming themselves to be the employees/officers of LMRC or posing themselves as authorised recruitment agencies of LMRC, in the wake of the latest recruitment drive of the company for various executive and non-executive posts.”

LMRC has hence advised all the job aspirants that they should not fall prey to the hands of these deceitful persons or fraudulent agencies who falsely promise them for confirming job at Lucknow Metro in lieu of money or any other materialistic gain.

The advisory says, “All the candidates are, hereby, cautioned to refrain themselves from any such misleading promise made by such persons or agencies. Recruitment in Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation (LMRC) is fully transparent and is totally based on merit. LMRC does not solicit any money, whatsoever, from any candidate at any stage of recruitment process other than the prescribed examination application fee in cashless mode as advertised in its recruitment notifications.”

The corporation has also shared its contact number for any query regarding the authenticity/legitimacy of recruitment- 0522-2304014 & 0522 -2304015 from 10 am to 6 pm on all working days excluding Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
