GRANT - The Chippewa Hills girls track team wrapped up its 16th-straight conference title Monday at Grant High School.

As it was the Warriors finished atop the eight-team field with 196 points, easily besting runner-up Central Montcalm.

Chippewa Hills’ girls team has also won 114-straight conference duals at home dating back decades.

“It’s been a good season so far and I’m real proud of this team,” said Chippewa Hills head coach Sally Schafer. “They have worked really hard for everything they have got. To win 16 (conference titles) in a row and 114 (home conference duals) says a lot about our program. But this is going to be a tough week with regionals so we have to keep working.”
