West Ham news: Dean Ashton makes big prediction over next season’s manager
DAVID MOYES will “definitely” leave West Ham following the expiry of his contract, claims former Hammers striker Dean Ashton.

Moyes was appointed West Ham manager last November on a six-month deal following the sacking of Slaven Bilic.
The former Everton and Manchester United boss’ task was to keep the east London side in the Premier League.
He did just that, with West Ham ending the season in 13th following their final-day win over Everton yesterday.
Neither the club or Moyes are yet to announce what the Scot’s future holds though.

I think the fact we’ve not heard anything yet makes me think he will definitely leave and they’ll bring somebody new in
And Ashton believes that is a telling sign Moyes will be on his way.
“I think the fact we’ve not heard anything yet makes me think he will definitely leave and they’ll bring somebody new in,” Ashton told talkSPORT.
“I think he’s done a really good job. He was brought in to keep them safe - it’s as simple as that.
“He’s not been brought in to bring in fantastic football to watch, he’s been brought in to keep them up - and that’s what he has done.

“I’m still not sure the supporters have taken to him, but you can see - especially yesterday - there’s a real base there.
“[There are] some great attacking players, but I think they need a few more defenders and they certainly need two or three midfield players, for me.
“But you can see there’s a nucleus of players there, where, whoever it is - David Moyes or a new manager - who comes in, they’ve got great attacking flair and if they can be shored up at the back and in midfield there’s no reason why they can’t have a great season next year.”
