Hodgson: Palace keen to hold on to Zaha

2018-05-14 18:24

Cape Town - Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson insists the club are not interested in selling their star forward Wilfried Zaha in the off-season.

Zaha has been the Eagles' stand-out performer this season, clinching the club's Player of the Year gong for a third consecutive time.

The Ivory Coast international capped off the campaign in great form, scoring five goals in his last seven games, which has led to speculation regarding his future at Palace.

However, Hodgson is not eager to see the 25-year-old play his football elsewhere next season.

"Wilf knows exactly how we value him as a player and as a person because he's an important figure for us," Hodgson told Palace's website.

"He has a long-term contract and is one of our best-paid players, and the last thing on anyone's mind here is letting him go.

"As far as I'm concerned, until a day comes where an offer is made that the club accepts, that speculation can wash over my head."
