R’kela-born is 1st runner-up of Mrs India Queen

Shivangi Saraf, who hails from Rourkela and now lives  in  Patna, has been crowned as the first runner-up of Mrs India Queen of Substance. She was given a rousing welcome on her arrival in Steel City on Saturday.

“I feel very honoured and privileged to be part of this country; and I am also representing India everywhere I go. I feel good that I make

India and Rourkela proud. I would like to give credit for it to my father, mother, husband and other family members for their support as this is teamwork,” Shivangi told media.

The 25-year-old was also bestowed with Mrs Best Personality-2018 at the three-day beauty pageant held at ITC Welcome Hotel in Dwarka last month. Bollywood actors Mahima Choudhary and Poonam Dhillon were among the jury members.

The annual event is organised to celebrate the spirit of womanhood and gives a platform to talented married women who have somewhere forgotten to live their dream in the struggle of being a good wife, mother and homemaker. Shivangi had done her BBA from the Rourkela Institute of Management Studies.

Her father owns a jewellery shop in Rourkela.

Shivangi stays in Patna with her husband and has a two-year-old daughter.
