The Shohei Ohtani show continues to play to rave reviews.

The Los Angeles Angels rookie turned in another memorable performance Sunday, striking out 11 batters and allowing the Minnesota Twins just three hits through 6 1/3 innings as the Angels won, 2-1.

Ohtani was taken out in the seventh after issuing a walk to first baseman Logan Morrison. He threw 103 pitches, 69 of them for strikes. Morrison scored to tie the score at 1 after Ohtani was relieved by Cam Bedrosian.

Morrison had high praise for Ohtani after the game.

"He's only 23 years old and is going to get better," he said, via MLB.com. "I think he's doing something that nobody has probably ever done, and it might be a long time before you see it again.

"There's another guy in that clubhouse who is a really good player, but to me, with what (Ohtani) does on the mound and with the bat, he's probably the best player in the world."

It marked the second double-digit strikeout game of Ohtani's major league career and lowered his ERA to 3.58.

Even more amazing, the "Japanese Babe Ruth" also is hitting .348 with five home runs and 16 RBI in 69 at-bats.
