Rajkot: Police arrested a bootlegger on the outskirts of Ronki village near Morbi bypass early morning on Monday and seized 3,420 bottles of Indian-made foreign liquor (IMFL) worth Rs 10.26 lakh from him.
Police identified the bootlegger as Imran Belim (33), a resident of Jangaleshwer area in Rajkot. “We have also seized two cars and three two-wheelers from the spot. There were five bootleggers who fled before we raided the spot,” said crime branch sub-inspector K K Jadeja. A tip-off about the bootleggers gathering at the spot to take delivery of the IMFL bottles led to the seizure and arrest.tnn
