Around 50 people had a narrow escape when a fire broke out at a restaurant in a shopping mall here today, an official said.
The fire broke out at around 12 pm in the Moti Mahal restaurant located at the third floor of Ansal Plaza in Palam Vihar, he said.
"A team of firefighters with two fire tenders and local police were rushed to the spot. Within a few hours, the flames were doused and around 50 people were safely rescued from the restaurant," Gurgaon Police PRO Ravinder Kumar told PTI.
The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, he said.
