Maharaja Ranjit Singh ‘Bhangra World Cup' to be held at Ludhiana

To popularise the folk dance Bhangra, the Punjab Cultural Society has decided to organize 'Maharaja Ranjit Singh Bhangra World Cup'.

Society's president Ravinder Singh Ranguwal said that the mega event would be held in the first week of November this year in Ludhiana and would be dedicated to the 'Punjab Diwas'.

He said that there are many people engaged in various vocations who are still devoted to bhangra and this extravaganza would afford them a chance to come together on a single platform.

This mega event would be of international standards and besides India, the teams from Canada, USA, England, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand would be invited to participate in the event.

Ranguwal added that eminent personalities from cultural sphere of Punjab would be associated with the event to accord it a grand look.

Notably, Punjab Cultural Society is actively involved in the propagation of Punjabi cultural values as well as art forms worldwide.
