Ludhiana(DP Correspondent) – Another victim of LPG cylinder blast succumbed to injuries on Saturday. The death toll reached to 13 till now. Out of total 34 injured, 13 have died and few are still undergoing treatment at different hospitals. 19 year old Kajal who had suffered sixty percent burn injuries died while undergoing treatment at Christian Medical College and Hospital (CMCH).Her three family members including father, mother and brother have died. Only younger sister of Kajal was left and she is also undergoing treatment at hospital. Few hours after the blast, Sunita and Raj, mother and brother of Kajal had died. Few days later, her father Ashok Yadav has also died. On April 26, a LPG cylinder exploded at a residence in Samrat Colony of Giaspura area of Ludhiana injuring at least 34 persons. The neighbors who came to rescue the victims also suffered injuries.
Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has announced financial aid of Rs 1 lakh for kin of deceased and free treatment in hospitals for injured. Few days ago, seven families of deceased had received compensation cheques form the government.
