Assembly elections-2018 – ‘Congress to release separate manifesto for youths’

Indore : Madhya Pradesh Congress party election campaign chief Jyotiraditya Scindia on Saturday said youths and women will be the focus of party’s election campaign.

Addressing mediapersons at Indore Press Club on Saturday, Scindia said Congress party will give chance to at least 30 percent new faces and also to the women who can take the party and state to new heights. “We will release a separate manifesto for youths and will work for generating jobs, which have vanished due to wrong policies of BJP government,” he remarked.

Scindia said party will declare candidates at least two-months before the elections so that  candidates will get chance for preparations.

Talking about the alliance with other parties, he said Congress will form alliance with like-minded parties to uproot BJP government and party, which has decentralised corruption in last 14 years.

Taking jibe at BJP leaders for calling Kamal Nath, an old man, Scindia said Kamal Nath has the energy and passion of a 25 year-old youth and the BJP leaders will witness it in coming days.

Responding to a query, Scindia said people in MP are fed up of ruling government.

“Farmers are dying every day due to government’s poor policies as they have stopped cash payments in mandis. Moreover, they are not getting proper support price of their crops.

They are getting electricity in midnight for watering their farms,” he said, adding, “Not only farmers but common people are in trouble due to hike in petrol prices. Youths are frustrated with unemployment but the government has its own policy of ‘Dikhao sapna, Sabka maal apna,” (Show them dreams and pocket their money)

Scindia termed chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s Narmada Seva Yatra as “Narmada Survey Yatra.” Explaining it, he said illegal sand mining goes unabated at places along Narmada river banks, which Chouhan covered during yatra.
