Bollywood is one huge family with siblings, sons-daughters, and cousins of actors becoming the part of the family. And we won’t be wrong if we discover that everyone in the industry is somewhere connected to each other. Apart from giving us many on-screen mom-child duos, Bollywood has also produced many real-life mother-child duos and have made a mark. We have compiled a list of real mother-child duos in Bollywood who have chosen the same fields their parents chose and have excelled at that.

Neetu Singh – Ranbir Kapoor

Married into the first family of Bollywood Neetu Singh is an amazing actor and has given amazing flicks like Kabhi Kabhi, Amar Akbar Anthony, Deewar, and Parvarish, to name a few. After her marriage with Rishi Kapoor, she gave up acting. Her son Ranbir is the current heartthrob of Bollywood and has some brilliant movies like Bachna Ae Haseeno, Barfi, Wake Up Sid, Rocket Singh, Rockstar and Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahani. Neetu Singh and Ranbir Kapoor were seen together in the action comedy film ‘Besharam’ in 2013.

She is the wife of film director Mahesh Bhatt and mother of Alia and Shaheen Bhatt. Alia made her Bollywood debut in 2012 with Karan Johar’s Student Of The Year and since then there was no looking back. Alia and Soni have recently shared screen space in Meghna Gulzar’s thriller ‘Raazi’.

The bold and beautiful Amrita Singh ruled silver screens in the 80s and gave us some amazing movies like Mard, Betaab, Naam, Aaina, Suryavanshi, Chameli Ki Shaadi, to name a few. She married Saif Ali Khan in 1991 and in 1993 took a break from the film industry. She made her Bollywood comeback with the movie ’23rd March 1931: Shaheed’ in 2002. Her daughter is all set to make her Bollywood debut with Abhishek Kapoor’s ‘Kedarnath’. Sara has an uncanny resemblance to Amrita.
