26/11 Mumbai Terror Attacks
Former Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has confessed to the involvement of Pakistani terrorists in the deadly 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks.
"Militant organisations are active. Call them non-state actors, should we allow them to cross the border and kill 150 people in Mumbai? Explain it to me. Why can’t we complete the trial?” Sharif told Dawn news in a reference to the Mumbai attacks-related trials which have stalled in a Rawalpindi anti-terrorism court.
Some 166 people were killed in the attack carried out by 10 LeT men. Nine of the attackers were killed by police while lone survivor Ajmal Kasab was caught and hanged after handed down death sentence.
The JuD is believed to be the front organisation for the LeT which is responsible for carrying out the Mumbai attack.
