Aspen Dental plans service day to give free dental care for veterans

Aspen Dental announced it is offering free dental care for local veterans as part of its Healthy Mouth Movement

Aspen Dental dentists and team members will be participating in the event from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., June 9, at several locations, including at its Mayfield Heights location, 1300 SOM Center Road.

Achieving oral health is especially challenging for the majority of U.S. veterans as they are not eligible for dental benefits through the Veterans Administration unless they are 100 percent disabled, have a service-related mouth injury or were a prisoner of war, according to a news release. This year, Aspen Dental expect to give free dental care to approximately 5,000 on that day.
