The Jagatsinghpur district administration conducted Rehabilitation and Peripheral Advisory Committee (RPDAC) meeting of the IOCL Paradip Refinery here on Wednesday.

Chairing the meeting, RDC (Central) DV Swami asked the company to provide employment to at least one member of all displaced families and drinking water to all 17 affected villages. Besides, he asked the public sector undertaking to develop roads and healthcare facilities for people living in and around Paradip.

Swami and elected representatives of the district asked the IOCL authorities to submit a detailed report on work taken up under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) within 15 days and release a list of names of affected families and employment provided so far, on the IOCL website.Local MP Kulamani Samal, MLAs Dr Damodar Rout, Prasant Muduli and State Planning Board Deputy Chairman Bishnu Das alleged that the decisions taken during the last RPDAC meeting have not yet been implemented, which has created resentment among the affected villagers.

District Collector Yamini Sarangi discussed about previous RPDAC decisions and their implementation.
