Missing man found dead in Mullanpur

MOHALI: Police have found a body of a missing man in Mullanpur on Friday. The deceased has been identified as Ghanaiya (27), a street vendor. Police have initiated an inquest proceeding under Section 174 of the CrPC. Meanwhile, the cops have ruled out involvement of any foul play.
Ghanayia has been missing from Maloya colony in Chandigarh for the past three days. "He was found dead in a water body in Mullanpur by his family members," said Mullanpur SHO inspector Bikramjit Singh

Ghanayia died due to drowning. His cart was also parked near the water body. SHO said that the exact cause of the death would be ascertained after the postmortem reports.
