Bhopal: Sex racket busted; 11 among two foreign women held

Bhopal: An alleged high profile sex racket involving women of foreign origin was busted by police at Vishwakarma Nagar on Friday morning. At least 11 people, including two foreign women, were arrested by the Nishatpura police. According to police, the locals called up dial-100 team alleging that a sex racket was being operated in the area.

Before the police could reach the spot, the residents of the area had gathered at the spot seeking action against the persons involved in illegal activity. The racket was being operated by a 23-year-old woman at her rented accommodation. The woman had invited 5 women, including two Uganda residents and six men to her house.

Dial 100 team received a call at around 8 am and acting on the complaint, a police team led by SI Santosh Gautam reached the house. Ten persons who were detained from the house, however, claimed that they were holding a birthday party and that police disturbed their celebration. The accused have been identified as Faizan, Jaid, Qamar, Ayaad Ahmad, Sadique and Salman and five women. Sarwar, the woman’s boyfriend is on the run.

Nishatpura SHO Chain Singh Raghuvanshi said that one of the accused women caught from the house was earlier booked in NDPC Act for her involvement in sale of intoxicants.  He said that the accused woman had taken the house on rent in February. Police has also sized tablets and other objectionable materials from the house.
