Ekamra walks interests people from all walks of life

The 23rd Khandagiri-Udayagiri chapter of Ekamra Walks saw several officials of the GST (Goods and Services Tax) council, who are in the city, joining the heritage trail and enjoying the guided tour. This chapter of theEkamra Walks is known as Monks, Kings, Caves, which highlights the spiritual, historic and cave architecture of the second century BC Odisha. Besides, several locals including a wildlife conservationist, dentist, media professional and some school students, took advantage of the summer vacation and participated in the weekly heritage walk. The officials of GST council, Ministry of Finance under Government of India are in the city to attend a national conference and said they were happy to know about the history of the twin hills and how it has been a silent witness to to Indian evolution story. They were also awestruck seeing the rock-cut caves at such a height.
