Scorpion has hacked its way out of dozens of risky positions, but even this team of geniuses couldn't save themselves from getting the axe at CBS. TV Guide has confirmed that after four seasons, Scorpion has officially been canceled.

Scorpion followed the story of a team of individuals who specialized in hacking, coding, psychology and engineering, who joined forces with the government to help diffuse high-tech threats. It premiered to relatively strong numbers and maintained high enough ratings in its first few seasons to keep it off the bubble, but it hit four series lows in its fifth season, which puts its future at stake.

Also getting scuttled was the Jermaine Fowler comedy Superior Donuts. The sitcom was based on the play and tackled social issues from the setting of a donut shop. It lasted two seasons at CBS.

They join Living Biblically, and Wisdom of the Crowd on the list of CBS cancellations this year, and it's likely to be joined by Me, Myself & I and 9JKL, which were both bumped earlier in the year after experiencing their own ratings issues.

CBS will announce its full 2018-19 TV schedule next week.
