HT-Nielsen top 10: The Alchemist by Paulo Coehlo back as fiction lead

Here’s the HT-Nielsen Top 10 list for this week.(HT photo)

This week, Paulo Coehlo’s The Alchemist has regained its position as the leader of bestselling fiction list. Ravinder Singh’s Will You Still Love Me? and Sudeep Nagarkar She Friend-Zoned My Love occupy second and third positions. Chetan Bhagat’s One Indian Girl retains its spot as fourth in the list, while Amish Tripathi’s Sita: Warrior of Mithila is fifth.

In the non-fiction list, Mark Manson’s The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck replaced Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Exam Warriors as number one, and moved it to number 5. Kamlesh D Patel’s The Heartfulness Way is second, while Yuval Noah Harari’s Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind is third in the list. This is followed by a new entrant, Yusuf Merchant’s Happyness: Life Lessons from a Creative Addict.

Coming to the list of best-selling children’s books by international publishers, at number one position this week is new entrant Rick Riordan’s The Burning Maze, which moved last week’s leader Jeff Kinney’s Wimpy Kid book, The Getaway to second position. Next are JK Rowling’s Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. This is followed by John Green’s Turtles All the Way Down.

Last week’s number two in the list of best-selling children’s books in Indian publishing, Ruskin Bond’s The Blue Umbrella, is at the top this week. Next are Rungeen Singh’s The Best of Tenali Raman and Ruskin Bond’s Great Stories for Children. On fourth and fifth spot are Timeless Tales from Panchatantra and Mahabharata.
