Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal starrer ‘Raazi’ finally hit the theatres on May 11 with the limited screens in India. But surprisingly, Meghna Gulzar’s Raazi managed to open with a decent occupancy on its first day.
The film enjoyed 25 percent occupancy on its opening day at the cinema halls despite having limited screens. Ace trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted the day 1 collection of Raazi. He wrote, “Power of SOLID CONTENT… #Raazi starts Day 1 with a BIG BANG… The EXCEPTIONAL word of mouth should result in a FANTASTIC opening weekend… Fri ₹ 7.53 cr. India biz.”

Due to strong word of mouth, Raazi’s collections may increase this weekend. Also, the last week’s release Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor starrer ‘102 Not Out’ is enjoying good response from the masses.
Raazi is based on the novel ‘Calling Sehmat’ which is set against the backdrop of 1971 Indo-Pakistani Civil War. In the film, Alia is playing the role of Indian spy while Vicky is playing the role of Pakistani military officer.
