The Fox lineup continues to fill out with a series order for Rel, a six-camera comedy from Get Out actor Lil Rel Howery.

She show is based on Lil Rel's real life, and he's even given his name to the main character. Lil Rel, a prideful, self-made success who lives by the code to "always believe in yourself and great things will come," finds that attitude put to the test when he learns his wife is having an affair with his own barber. He tries to rebuild his life post-divorce as a long-distance single father on the South Side of Chicago who's on a quest for love, respect and a new barber.

Howery will also executive produce, along with Kevin Barnett, Josh Rabinowitz, Mike Scully and Jerrod Carmichael. Alongside Howery, the series stars Sinbad, Jess "Hilarious" Moore and Jordan L. Jones.

Fox also gave series orders to The Cool Kids and Proven Innocent, while handing cancellations to Brooklyn Nine-Nine, The Last Man on Earth and The Mick.

Rel is expected to premiere on Fox sometime during the 2018-2019 season.
