Haryana CM meets UK Under Secretary for National Health

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal on Thursday met Under Secretary, National Health Service, UK, in his office in London, and discussed with him in detail how the NHS is funded.

He also noted the game-changing IT initiatives taken by the UK to ensure flawless implementation of the scheme.

The Chief Minister also took active interest in minute details of the NHS to cope with the challenges that might arise following implementation of the Comprehensive Cashless Healthcare Assurance Scheme to be implemented by the Haryana Government in the state. The scheme was announced by the Government of India.

Earlier, the Chief Minister who is leading a high-level state delegation was accorded a warm welcome on his arrival in London from Israel. He started his four-day visit to UK after paying floral homage to Dr Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar at his memorial in London.

Manohar Lal discussed with officials issues likely to come up at a series of meetings lined up in UK. He will also meet industry biggies, especially in health as well as aviation segments.
