2 held for bid to extort 5crore from builder

KALYAN: Two men have been arrested for allegedly threatening to shoot down a builder from Dombivli if he failed to pay up Rs5 crore.
Officials of the crime branch's Kalyan unit said that the accused -Shahapur resident Bhagwan Vishe alias Deva Patil and Goregaon resident Firoj Shaikh- on April 20 threatened to gun down builder Pradeep Joshi before his nephew's wedding which took place on April 30. In 2006, the builder had received a similar threat from gangster Suresh Pujari's gang. The gang members had alleged opened fire at Joshi's office at that time for not paying ransom. tnn
