Indore: Jyotiraditya Scindia, the Congress party MP from Guna, will launch election campaign from Indore and Ujjain on Saturday. Scindia, the newly appointed chairman of state election campaign committee, will address Jan Akrosh rally at Lasudia on Saturday evening.
He will visit city on Friday and will leave for Ujjain to offer prayers at Mahakaleshwar temple. He will address a rally there too. Later, he will meet local leaders in Indore and will have a one to one meeting over the campaign preparations. Meanwhile, City Congress Committee has started preparations for the public rally and even distributed ‘peele chawal’(rice mixed with turmeric powder) to the residents as an invite to attend the rally.
As per the schedule, Scindia will visit cities in the state to address Jan Akrosh rally from May 11-16. “We have invited residents and also appealed to all the local leaders to invite people from their constituency and areas to participate in the rally,” city Congress president Pramod Tandon said.
He said Congress party will make people aware about corruption and scams that took place under BJP government and how farmers have suffered in the state through Jan Akrosh rally. After the rally, Scindia will be the guest speaker at summer lecture series organised by Abhyas Mandal. He will go to Holkar stadium to watch IPL match.
