At last, our long national nightmare is over: The CW has renewed iZombie for a fifth season!

Although we're all breathing a great sigh of relief right now, if you've been paying attention to TV Guide this spring, you likely saw this coming. The CW hasn't been in the business of canceling established shows without warning for a while now, and with the network's expansion to Sunday nights, it is able to schedule 12 hours of original programming instead of just 10. Still, it's also just nice to know that the little zombie show that could, which stars Rose McIver as a zombie who helps to solve crimes in Seattle, will have at least one more season to wrap up its constantly evolving story.

With iZombie's renewal Friday and The 100 having been picked up earlier in the week, the bulk of The CW's current lineup is now set to return next season -- only freshman series Life Sentence and Valor were canceled this year. Although we don't yet know when iZombie will actually return, fans can probably expect to see it at midseason once again.

Also on Friday, The CW announced it had picked up to series several new shows: Charmed; In the Dark; All American; Legacies, the Hope-centered spin-off of The Originals; and the Roswell reboot which will be known as Roswell, New Mexico
