Man killed by elder bro in B’ngir

A youth was allegedly beaten to death by his elder brother over family feud at Dapmal village in the Patnagarh area of Balangir district on Thursday. A heated exchange of words had taken place between the deceased Buddhadev Pradhan and his elder brother over a family dispute. It soon took an ugly turn as the elder brother started thrashing Buddhadev with bamboo sticks and iron rods leading to his death on the spot.On being informed, police reached the spot, seized the body for postmortem and started investigation. 11 of the family, including two women, were detained for questioning.
