Captains’ bats cold in road loss

The Captains’ bats went silent May 11 in an 8-1 loss at Quad Cities.

Tyler Friis forced in the Lake County’s lone run when he walked with the bases loaded. Jose Vicente had two of the team’s three hits on the night.

Francisco Perez (1-3) got the start for the Captains, and went 5 2/3 innings. He allowed three hits, two earned runs, five walks and struck out five.

Lake County’s record is now 15-18.
