The hospital of EM Bypass currently has 400 beds and the new addition will make it a 600 bedded hospital. This was announced as a part of the hospital celebrating its 25 years in service.
“Research indicates that currently our country needs seven lakh additional beds over the next five years. In order to cater to this immediate need, we will be adding 200 beds to our existing capacity of 400 beds. We will also come up with a dedicated cancer and transplant unit within the campus,” Dr.Sujit Kar Purkayastha, Managing Director of Peerless Hospital on Thursday,
The hospital will host its 25th year celebration on May 15. As part of the celebration the hospital will felicitate healthcare professionals who have made notable contributions in their respective field and medical students who have done well academically.
