Stressing the role of teachers in imparting quality education, Union Home minister Rajnath Singh said that they were  of students but were also instrumental in nation building as they were the ones who could differentiate between the right and the wrong.

The role of one of these is destructive while the other is welfare-oriented. The only difference between the two is that of values.”

The Home minister said that the role of teachers is not only to build character of students, but also nation building. “This is of paramount importance that schools impart enriching education to students,” he said.
