Haryana Government on Thursday directed the officers and officials concerned to take prompt action against the unauthorised ultrasound centres running in the state under the PC-PNDT Act.

Rakesh Gupta, Additional Principal Secretary to Haryana Chief Minister, issued these directions while presiding over a meeting with all the Deputy Commissioners, Superintendents of Police, Sub Divisional Officers and officers of concerned departments, through video conferencing, at Sirsa.

He also directed them to take immediate action against those ultrasound centres in the districts which have been issued show cause notices.

Gupta asked them to take seriously the complaints being received on CM Window and redress them on priority basis.

There should be no pending complaint of 2015, 2016 and 2017 and if there is any, redress them at the earliest. The officers should redress the complaints by setting up coordination between them, he added.

He also directed all Superintendents of Police to launch road safety campaigns from time to time to spread awareness among people and to challan people riding without helmet and those violating speed limits.

If there is shortage of employees, trainees should be recruited in large number, said Gupta.

He congratulated the Deputy Commissioner, Sirsa for leading other districts in terms of open defecation free and for appointing trainees more than the set target.

Gupta also directed the officers to check photos and locations of roads in bad conditions on Harpath App and to carry out their repair at the earliest. After repair, upload the photo on Harpath App, he said.

He further said that the State Government has been formulating Saral Project under which Saral Kendras and Antyodaya Kendras would be opened in all districts to provide e-services to people. The officers should identify land for Antyodaya Kendras in districts and send the estimates to the headquarters so that budget could be allotted for their construction, he added.
