Jack Jacob "Wolfcat" King Jack Jacob "Wolfcat" King, 65, of 1011 Dry Mountain Road, Gladys died Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at his home. He was the husband of Susan "Doreen" Seamster King for 44 years. He was born October 11, 1952 in Pittsylvania County, a son of the late James Edward King and Glennie Ward King. He was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church and a retired employee of 44 years from BWXT. "Wolfcat" enjoyed fishing, raising pigs, and collecting antiques. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Pamela Denise King Dowdy and her husband Kevin of Gladys and Jackie King Nelson of Gladys; a brother, Frank Wayne King and his fianc JoAnne of Lynchburg; four sisters, Mildred King Douglas, Marie King Padilla, Velma King DeJarnette and Mavis King Nava and her husband Donato all of Nathalie; and three grandsons, Dylan Blake Nelson, Evan Jacob Dowdy and Ethan Lewis Dowdy. He was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Anderson King. Thanks for all the support and love from numerous family and friends; a special thanks to Uncle Jr. for always being with Jack. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Ebenezer Baptist Church, Gladys by Pastor Jamie Adams, Pastor Stephen Willis and the Rev. Marci Huntsman with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8:30 p.m., Friday, May 11, 2018 at Finch & Finch Funeral and Cremation Service, Altavista and other times at the residence.
