Himachal Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur on Thursday said that the State which is also known as “Dev Bhoomi” was shamed by the unfortunate incidents like Yug murder and Gudiya incident.

“This not only indicates towards degradation of human values, but also warns us about the changing human attitude,” said the Chief Minister while speaking at ‘Dev Bhoomi Main Yug Ka Aant’ programme organized here at Gaiety Theatre to pay tribute to child Yug, who was brutally killed a few years back in Shimla town.

He said that the change in mindset was essential to bring change in our society for peaceful coexistence.

On the occasion, 'Meri Batien Mera Samman' award was given to Dr Sadhna Thakur, wife of the Chief Minister. Pinki Gupta, mother of child Yug was also honoured on the occasion.
