Cohoes pulled off a 5-4 softball win Thursday despite nine errors on its home field against Catholic Central.

Adriana DeVoe had a game-winning RBI single that scored Meghan Lebuis, who went 2-for-4. Haleigh Burgess added an RBI and two doubles as Cohoes improved to 10-3 in Colonial Council play.

Erin Kelley had a run scored in the loss.

More softball: Jillian Botch struck out 12 over five innings and had four hits and four RBIs as Mayfield topped Berne-Knox, 10-1, to earn a spot in the Western Athletic Conference Cup game on Monday. Mayfield (10-4, 9-1) can earn a share of the league title with a win at Fonda on Friday. Morgan Heath knocked in the Bulldogs' only run.

Boys' lacrosse: Queensbury improved to 17-1 on Senior Day, running its state-best current winning streak to 14 games, by defeating Amsterdam 17-1. Paul Wright had three goals and an assist, while Nico Mattia added three assists. ... Sam Swingruber scored five goals to spark Ballston Spa to a 16-15 win over Shenendehowa. The Scotties (11-2) trailed 9-6 at halftime, but erupted for eight goals in the third quarter. Zach Schuette, Alex Yerou, Lucas Bennice and Joe McDonald each added two goals in the win. Billy Beach and Jack Hyde tallied three goals apiece for the Plainsmen (11-3). ... Aiden Jones had a game-high six points (three goals, three assists) as Averill Park held on to defeat Colonie, 13-12 in Suburban play. Austin Bradway had 17 saves in the win; counterpart Justin Loudis had 11 in the defeat, while teammate Dylan Williams had three goals and an assist.

Baseball: Lansingburgh used a six-run sixth-inning rally to beat Ichabod Crane, 9-8, in Colonial Council action. Anthony Combs led the Knights with four RBIs. Dave Yankowski hit a two-run home run for the Riders. ... La Salle scored eight runs in the sixth inning to storm past Ravena, 10-6, in a Colonial Council game. Noah Grandjean drove in two runs and Cory Listing had two hits and three RBIs for the Cadets (11-7, 10-5).
