Cedar Rapids woman accused of stealing $6,000 from Walmart while she was an employee

A Cedar Rapids woman faces second-degree theft charges based on allegations she stole more than $6,000 from Walmart while working at the Blairs Ferry Road store.

Kenaria J. Bady, 22, admitted to police she took $6,149 from the cash registers May 6 while she was working at Walmart at 2645 Blairs Ferry Road NE, court records state.

Second-degree theft, for amounts more than $1,000 but less than $10,000, is a Class D felony, punishable by up to five years in prison.
