Chandrabhanu passes away

Eminent journalist Chandrabhanu Patnaik passed away at his Bapuji Nagar residence here late on Wednesday evening. He was 60 and is survived by his wife and a son.

Patnaik was suffering from cancer. He had started his journalism career in 1980s. He ultimately became editor of ‘The Samaja’, though for a brief period. Earlier, he worked in ‘The Sambad’ and then launched a weekly, ‘Satabdi’, before becoming editor of ‘The Samaya’.

Apart from his journalism in the print media, he had also worked for All India Radio and television channels.
