The last time we saw Blindspot's big Season 2 villain Shepherd (Michelle Hurd), she was in captivity with the CIA and about to go away for a long, long time after she nearly blew up the United States with a nuclear stockpile.
But guess what? Shepherd is back in this week's episode and... well, she's still not going anywhere for a long, long time. In this exclusive clip from Season 3's penultimate episode, Shepherd -- not looking good -- is locked up and talking to Jane (Jaimie Alexander), and she seems to be full of remorse over how she handled her adopted children.
"I'm sorry for trying to tear you and Roman apart," she says. "Of all the things I've done, it's my biggest regret." And that means something considering how many people she's killed in cold blood.
For her part, Jane isn't having it. But why is she talking to Shepherd at all? Apparently she needs Shepherd's help for a job she's working on. Jane, keep your distance, girl.
If you miss Shepherd, I have some maybe good news. While Shepherd's time on Blindspot will be limited, Hurd may be returning to television in a big way. She's lined up to star in the potential CBS reboot of Cagney & Lacey should it get picked up, and given recent TV trends, it's pretty likely.
