The Geauga County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a 40-year-old Hambden Township man accused of manufacturing methamphetamine in the vicinity of a juvenile, a crime he was on parole for stemming from a 2013 arrest.

The arrest of Peter Mancuso comes after a monthlong investigation. The Sheriff’s Office received assistance from the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation Narcotics Unit personnel and executed a search warrant May 3 at 10865 Holi Dale Drive in Hambden Township.

In a news release, the Sheriff’s Office said Mancuso was actively assembling the components of a clandestine methamphetamine lab.

All hazardous chemicals were diffused on scene by law enforcement.

Mancuso was arraigned in Chardon Municipal Court and faces a first-degree felony count of manufacturing methamphetamine in the vicinity of a juvenile.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 16 in Chardon Municipal Court.
