If the Millennium Falcon Was a Car, Here’s What it Would Look Like
Nissan has unveiled its latest Star Wars-themed custom show vehicle, just in time for the world premiere of Solo: A Star Wars Story.
Based on the 2018 Nissan Rogue, the custom show vehicle draws its inspiration from the iconic Millennium Falcon and features unmistakable elements from the ship. It’s the Japanese automaker’s most extensive Star Wars-themed custom show vehicle yet, with a full interior makeover that channels the iconic cockpit of the Millennium Falcon.
The cabin features buttons, lights, and sound effects that all closely resemble the sights and sounds you would expect from the ship’s cockpit. There are also front- and second-row chairs, just like what you’ve seen in the movies. And it wouldn’t be complete without center-mounted “hyperdrive” controls, helping bring the entire package to life.

But on the outside, it’s clear this is one of Nissan’s craziest projects ever. The Japanese automaker custom handcrafted aluminum body panels with details that resemble the Millennium Falcon. It also turned to 3D printing for custom inserts that bring another level of immersive depth to the Rogue. A mounted radar dish and laser cannon adorn the roof, while the entire front windshield has been transformed to resemble the Millennium Falcon’s iconic design. Things get even crazier in the rear, with a “subspace-hyperdrive unit” spanning the entire width of the Rogue, which appropriately glows blue. There is also a trio of high-mounted Bose speakers and an 18-inch Bose subwoofer, helping deliver an impressive 1,500 watts of power inside and out.
“As the third installment of our own trilogy of collaborations with Lucasfilm, we raised the bar delivering our best custom show vehicle yet,” said Jeremy Tucker, Nissan’s vice president of marketing communications and media. “We started with the best-selling Nissan Rogue and worked with the talented concept designers at Lucasfilm and ILM. Then we turned to the experts at Vehicle Effects bring it to life. The result is hands-down the most complete and thrilling vehicle we’ve ever done.”
