House in CM’s constituency burgled

PuducherryThe Orleanpet police are on the lookout for thieves who broke into a house in Saram, which falls under Puducherry Chief Minister V. Narayanasamy’s constituency.

The police said that Srinivasan, an auto driver, lives in the second floor of a three-storey building. In the afternoon when the power supply was cut, his wife Tamilarasi, who was alone in the house, went to the third floor and stayed there.

When her son came home in the evening, he found the doors open, and ₹35,000 and six sovereigns of gold jewellery missing.

A complaint was filed in the Orleanpet police station. The Chief Minister visited the house on Thursday and promised immediate action to nab the culprits.
