Police have arrested a third man in relation to a murder in south Auckland earlier in the month.
The 25-year-old from Mangere has been charged with the murder of Epalahame Tuuheava and the attempted murder of Tuuheava's wife, along with two others who were arrested earlier on Friday, said Detective Inspector Tofilau Faa Vaaelua.
The couple were found lying in a light industrial area on Greenwood Rd, Mangere, the morning of May 1; Tuuheava was found dead at the scene and his wife was taken to hospital with gunshot wounds.
Vaaelua says the ongoing enquiries by the investigation team has resulted in the latest arrest.
"Even after this third arrest for the murder and attempted murder, our investigation team will continue to identify and prosecute anyone else who played a part in this."
The arrested man was scheduled to appear in the Manukau District Court on Saturday.
