CHENNAI: Are you owning an unapproved plot in the Chennai Metropolitan Area (CMA) and struggling for layout framework to regularise it? You may find the approved layout framework on the Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority (CMDA) portal.The planning authority has started uploading the approved layouts of unauthorised plots falling under its purview. As many as 150 layouts approved by the CMDA have been thrown open for the public, which can be used by the applicants.
"In the event of an applicant's plot is situated within the layout, they can directly download the approved layout framework on our portal and submit it to the respective local body for regularisation," the CMDA official said.
“So far, we have approved more than 500 layout frameworks, wherein all the approved layouts would be uploaded online soon,” the official added.
Official sources further said that these were read only office copies, which cannot be manipulated or revised at the users end.
Preparation of layout framework is one of tedious task for the applicants as they need to create a plan for the entire layout in which their plots are located while applying for the regularisation scheme.
