Ujjain: Diploma engineers strike completes 9 days, government turns deaf ear

Ujjain: Diploma engineers’ strike conducted under the patronage of Madhya Pradesh Diploma Engineers Association (MPDEA), completed nine days on Thursday. Unit head Mithilesh Trivedi criticised the Government and accused it of not paying attention to pending demands of the engineers.

Trivedi informed that the strike had affected daily routine work in offices as officials and assistant engineers had stopped their work. MPDEA functionaries Mithilesh Trivedi, Amit Singh and JS Bhalla said in their joint statement that at least 90 per cent engineers were on strike and some were already on leave.

Trivedi informed that MPDEA state head Devendra Singh Bhadouriya had also requested to Election Commission to free engineers from their duties so enable them to join the strike. The efforts of MPDEA members and senior engineers N Saleem, SK Khare, Vinod Bagdi, Dilip Noughane, Rajendra Choube, and Rajendra Vijayvargiya were appreciated by the district head Trivedi for their contribution in making the strike successful.
