He set an all-time record for steals at Conotton Valley, was named to the East-West District 5 All-Star game, was an Ohio Valley Athletic Conference All-Star and scored a season high of 43 points in one game during final season in a green and gold uniform.

“Ray is a great shooter and an even better young man and we are proud to sign him to our basketball program,” said Rich Tharp, head basketball coach for Kent State Tuscarawas. “Everybody knows about his shooting prowess, but he is very adept at handling the basketball, can slash to the hoop and plays great man-to-man defense. He’s a threat to score when he walks into the gym. Ray is going to provide us some additional offensive firepower and should compete for playing time right away.”
