Cape Town - The recent fuel hikes have been taxing on South African motorists. First the 45 cents per litre increase on May 2, and the shocking 95 cents per litre increase which is looming for the end of this month.
The price of fuel will see locals paying close to almost R16/per litre by June, the highest is has most probably ever been in South Africa.

While SA road users reel from petrol price hikes it's important to note that are quite a few places in the world where motorists fork out considerably more to fill up their tanks.
For instance in Iceland they pay $2.13 per litre which equates to R26.86 for a litre of petrol, while people in China pay $2.09 dollars per litre (R26.52) for their fuel.
