Youth booked for sexually assaulting 6-year-old in Gurugram

GURUGRAM: A mason, working at a house in Sushant Lok-1 area of the city, raped a six-year-old girl, who is the daughter of a security guard staying in the same house.

A case has been registered with the woman police station while the accused is at large.

The father of the victim, who is a native of Kannauj district of Utter Pradesh, was out in the market to purchase some plumbing materials required for ongoing renovation and repairing of the house when, taking advantage of the situation, the mason sexually exploited the minor girl on May 5. The matter was reported to police on May 9.

The mother of the victim had died three years back and her father was working in a house in C-Block of Sushant Lok-I for the past four months.

The victim and her father were living in the same house.

“Currently, repairing and maintenance work are in progress at the house where I work. One mason Mukesh and a worker Pandu are working for more than a week,” said the victim’s father in his complaint. On May 5, when the victim’s father went to the market, he left his minor daughter sleeping on the third floor of the house.

“I had gone to Vyapar Kendra to get the materials. It took me around 2-3 hours to complete the work and come back,” said the victim’s father in his complaint.

On his return, the victim complained to him about stomach pain after which he took her to a doctor in Kanhai village where she was given some painkiller.

For few days, till the effect of medicine, girl was fine. On May 8, the minor girl again complained about the stomach pain. On being asked about her pain, the minor girl shared her story with father. “On May 5, when I had gone to market, Mukesh and Pandu were working on the third floor and my daughter was also sleeping on the same floor,” said the victim’s father, adding that her daughter informed him that Mukesh sexually exploited her by putting finger in her private parts.

Shocked over the incident, the victim’s father rushed to woman police station on May 9 and filed an FIR against Mukesh, resident of Sushant Lok-1.

After the counselling and medical examination of the victim, which confirmed sexual exploitation, police have booked the accused under section 6 (punishment for penetrative sexual assault) of the POSCO Act.

SHO of woman police station of sector 51 Poonam Hudda said the victim is fine and accused is still at large. “We are conducting raids and hope to arrest the accused at the earliest,” she said.
