
GUJCET Result 2018 Live: The result of Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET) examinations has been announced today. The results will be available on the official website, gujcet.gseb.org on May 10 at 9 am. Due to heavy traffic if the websites go slow, the students can check the results through the third party website, examresults.net, indiaresults.com. Earlier the answer keys were released on May 1. Over 1.35 lakh candidates had appeared for the Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET) examinations at 34 centres across the state of Gujarat.
Though many students skipped the examination, nearly 350 candidates appeared for all the four exams of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics, for admissions to engineering and medical courses. In the first session on Physics and Chemistry, which was conducted from 10 am to 12 noon, 1,34,979 students appeared for the exam out of a total of 1,36,498 applications. Around 73,171 students took the second session of the test, on Biology, out of 74,048 candidates. In the last session which was on Mathematics, out of the 62,761 registered candidates, only 61,981 took the exam.
Last year, out of 1.34 lakh registered candidates, 1.32 lakh appeared for Physics and Chemistry examination which was a combined paper, while for pharmacy colleges, 67,963 students appeared in Biology out of 68,983 registered number. Mathematics exam witnessed 66890 students who appeared out of 67,814 registered candidates.

Overall , the pass percentage stands at 73 per cent for HSC Science. 71 per cent boys have passed the exams and 74.9 per cent girls have cleared the same.The district which has given the best performace is Rajkot. The pass percentage for English medium students is 75.78 per cent.
Education Minister, Bhupendra Singh Chudasam has released the results for HSC Class 12th Science in a press conference. All those students who had appeared for the exams can check their scores at the official website — gseb.org, once released. In case due to heavy traffic, the website is not opening, candidates can also check the same on the third party website, examresults.net, indiaresults.com.
The press conference has started and the result of HSC Class 12th Science has been declared. The result of GUJCET 2018 will also be released shortly.
GUJCET is a state level entrance test which is administered by the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) which the candidates can appear after clearing Class XII for admission to engineering and degree, diploma pharmacy courses in government, grant-in-aid and self financed institutes of Gujarat.
After the exam this year, the candidates said that overall the paper was easy. Dipen Patel from B group said, “Though we had not expected but the question papers were easy and not lengthy.”
The results will be announced in half an hour, at 9 am. Candidates will also be able to check the same through their cell phones. They should follow the below mentioned steps to get their results.

After the release of provisional answer keys, the final answer keys of the Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET) examinations were also released at gujcet.gseb.org earlier. The exam was conducted on April 23. After the examination, GHSEB chairman A J Shah told The Indian Express that the exam was conducted peacefully without any instances of copying from any centre.
From 2017, the state government made GUJCET compulsory for admissions in engineering, pharmacy and diploma courses. The Gujarat government opted out of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) that is conducted by the CBSE on the ground that Gujarati-medium students were not able to do well in JEE.
