NOIDA: A family picked up a boy from the footpath and brought him home 28 years ago. They raised him, clothed and fed him, and ensured his education at a school. Now, that boy has grown into a man and is claiming property rights. For the 70-year-old lady who nurtured him, this is an unimaginable situation.

Considering him her son, she has done everything possible for him over the years and given him a future that a street urchin can't hope for. The only mistake she committed was while getting the child admitted in a school, she entered her name and her husband's in the parents' name column. This is what the orphan son is taking advantage of.

The elderly woman living in 'A' block of Sector 41 here reached Noida Authority on Tuesday with her elder son. She said, "28 years ago, my father-in-law found a a months-old infant on the footpath and brought him home. The child was given to an orphange but after a few years that orphanage was sealed. After that, we brought him back home and got him admitted in a school. In the parents' name column, we filled in our names. He lived with us for some time and then we found another orphanage and sent him there. We kept helping him financialy from time to time. Now he is a married man and claiming for rights in our property. "

In an application filed with the Authority, the man has claimed himself to be the adopted son of the lady, thus having equal rights on her house located in sector 41 of Noida.

OSD in Noida Authority Naveen Kumar said that nobody can get her property against her will.
