Indore: Finance Minister Jayant Malaiya launches development projects in city  


Indore: State finance minister Jayant Malaiya on Wednesday said Bijasan temple will be developed as a religious tourist spot. A sapling plantation programme will be held soon. He said the 3.5 kilometre-long airport road will have six lanes. The minister was addressing a function organised to perform bhumi pujan for renovation and beautification of the temple at the temple premises on Wednesday.

He said that project will cost Rs 1.5 crore. Those present on the occasion included mayor Malini Gaud, MLA Sudarshan Gupta, ex-mayor Uma Shahi Sharma, city BJP president Kailash Sharma, BJP corporator Deepak Jain Teenu and IDA CEO Goutam Singh. Malaiya also launched the development work in assembly constituency 1 under which six-lane  aerodrome road starting from Ramchandra Square to Aerodrom Road Police Station will be laid. It will cost Rs 3.11 crore.

The minister laid the foundation stone for beautification work of Pallahar Nagar and Kalani Nagar square at cost of Rs 22 lakh and Rs 31 lakh respectively. Speaking on the occasion, mayor Malini Gaud said execution of smart city project will see widening of the roads and beautification of squares. This will help to ease traffic flow.
