I-T searches on H K Patil’s aides

Hubballi: Income tax sleuths searched the houses of the close aides of minister H K Patil at Gadag and Betageri on Thursday and are believed have recovered Rs 19 cash and documents.
The raid was conducted simultaneously on the houses of former chairman of urban development authority Guranna Balaganur, Ranganagouda Odugoudar, APMC president Chandrashekhar Badni, former KIMS director P S Bhusa Reddy’s office and doctor Anant Shivapura’s house at 1pm.

Meanwhile, a team of IT officials conducted a raid on the house of JD(S) candidate K C Veerendra (Puppi), in Medehalli in Chitradurga taluk late on Wednesday evening and recovered Rs 11,48,800. The officials searched the house till 4am on Thursday, said sources. Veerendra is contesting from Chitradurga.

Veerendra was in the news earlier when his house in Challakere was raided by IT officials soon after demonetization.

Banned notes of face value of several crores along with gold ornaments kept in a secret chamber in a bathroom was detected.
